Core SEO work

Research keywords

Keyword research helps you compare phrases using provider estimates for the market you select. Treat volume and difficulty as directional evidence, then combine them with search intent, the visible result page, and what your site can genuinely answer.

Before you start

  • A Pro or Agency account with keyword lookup capacity.
  • A clear topic, audience market, and language to investigate.

Follow these steps

  1. Open Keyword research

Use the standalone Keyword Intelligence workspace or the Research view for a selected site. The standalone workspace keeps its active tool in the URL.

  2. Set the market

Enter the phrases you want to compare, then choose the location and language. These settings are part of the lookup, so compare results only when the context matches.

  3. Review the allowance

Read the spend preview and submit the lookup. The server checks capacity before it contacts the provider; a cached answer can return faster but still counts as a product lookup.

  4. Compare the evidence

Look at estimated volume, difficulty, intent, and available SERP features together. A low difficulty score is not a promise that a new or unrelated site can rank.

  5. Carry the best ideas forward

Explore related phrases or questions when available, copy useful terms, and add a selected phrase to site tracking when that action is offered.

What you get

  • Comparable keyword estimates for one declared market and language.
  • Intent and search-result context that explain more than volume alone.
  • A shortlist you can track or use in an evidence-backed brief.
