Core SEO work

Track keyword rankings

Rank tracking records where your best matching page appears for the phrases, market, device, and search engine you choose. Use the history as a trend, because one check can move or be unavailable without proving a lasting change.

Before you start

  • An added site with phrases that matter to its audience or business.
  • A target market, language, device, and supported search engine.

Follow these steps

  1. Open Keywords

Choose a site and open its Keywords view. The page shows the remaining keyword slots before you add anything.

  2. Choose the search context

Select the search engine, location, language, and device that match the audience you want to measure. Alternate engines can show an additional spend preview.

  3. Add useful phrases

Enter one or more phrases, or use the available suggestions. Duplicates and phrases beyond the displayed cap are refused rather than added silently.

  4. Read the latest position

Use the position, change, ranked URL, and check status together. A delta describes movement since the comparison point; it does not explain why the movement happened.

  5. Inspect the trend

Select a keyword to open its chart and accessible data table. Keep the normal weekly cadence or choose a daily option only when your account offers it.

What you get

  • A current position and check status for every tracked phrase.
  • A historical series with the URL that ranked at each observation.
  • A consistent market and device context for comparisons.
