Backlinks & competitors

Backlinks are links from other sites to yours. Google treats them as a vote of confidence — the stronger the linking sites, the stronger your own site looks. Competitor analysis compares your link profile to other sites in your space.

Domain rating

Domain rating is a 0–100 score of how strong a site’s link profile looks: the count and authority of sites linking to it. Not a measure of traffic or content quality. Ballpark:

  • 0–20 — small or new
  • 20–50 — established
  • 50–80 — strong
  • 80–100 — very few sites reach this

Two different providers score the same site slightly differently. Compare within the same tool over time, not across tools.

Row limits

The backlink list can be enormous — sites with a lot of history can have millions of rows. Each plan caps how many rows we pull per month:

  • Pro — up to a monthly cap on total rows.
  • Agency — unlimited rows.
  • Starter — no backlink data.

See Plans, limits & credits for the exact numbers.

Competitor overlap and the gap view

Add competitor domains and RankMeFast shows the overlap (keywords/backlinks you both target) and the gap (keywords they rank for that you do not). This is the fastest way to find low-hanging content ideas. Available on Agency.

Note: numbers reflect what the provider has crawled. Recently launched or heavily paywalled sites can look weaker than they are.
