Keyword Trends

Explore search-interest direction, momentum, and seasonality with honest estimate labels.

Keyword Trends

Keyword Trends shows how search interest changes over time. It reports a relative index, year-over-year direction, recent momentum, and seasonal months for up to five keywords in one exploration.

Know what one unit covers

One confirmed exploration uses one trend_explorations unit, whether you enter one keyword or five. Previewing the request, cancelling the preview, reopening a stored run, or selecting a related-query follow-up before confirming does not spend a unit. A follow-up you confirm is a new exploration.

See Pricing for current allowances and pack prices.

Read the index as an estimate

Every series and readout is labeled Estimate. The 0–100 search-interest index is relative to the selected market and time window. It is not absolute monthly search volume, traffic, or a forecast.

  • Year-over-year needs at least 56 valid observations.
  • Momentum needs 12 observations and can be up, down, or flat.
  • Seasonality needs 24 distinct months. Without enough history, RankMeFast says so instead of inventing a pattern.

A flat, sparse, or empty successful response is a valid observation, not a failure.

Understand cache and refunds

A result served from cache still uses one unit. A successful exploration with no series also uses one unit.

If the source fails before any series is retained, the reserved unit is returned exactly once and the run is marked refunded. Once a usable series is retained, the unit remains consumed even if another readout is unavailable.

Choose when to explore

Keyword Trends is on demand, not continuous monitoring. Run it again when you need a newer view. If new explorations are paused, stored runs stay readable.

Open Live trends from Keyword Research, enter up to five phrases, choose the market and language, review the spend preview, and confirm. For monthly caps and the common refund rule, read Plans, limits & credits.
