Connecting Google Search Console

Search Console is Google’s free tool that shows how Google sees your site. Connecting it to RankMeFast lets three audit rules use the real answer instead of guessing:

• Not indexed by Google — is a specific page actually in search?
• Rich results issues — are your structured-data snippets valid?
• Indexed with warnings — has Google flagged a canonicalization or duplicate signal?

Why connect

Without a connection, these rules stay in Watch with "insufficient data". With a connection, they land in the right bucket with actionable pages.

What we access (and what we do not)

• We ask Google for the read-only Search Console scope: webmasters.readonly. That is the smallest scope that lets us call the URL Inspection API.
• We never get access to Gmail, Drive, or your Google account beyond Search Console.
• We store an encrypted refresh token so we can renew the short-lived access token. Nothing else.

Connecting

1. Open Settings → Google Search Console.
2. Click Connect Google Search Console.
3. Sign in to Google and grant the read-only scope.
4. RankMeFast matches the connected property to your site.

Disconnecting or revoking

Click Disconnect in the same panel and confirm. That deletes our stored token immediately. You can also revoke us at any time from https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

"Reconnect needed"

If Google invalidates our token — for instance, when you change your account password — the card shows a red Reconnect needed banner. The audit rules fall back to "insufficient data" until you reconnect.
